OVERVIEW

What is a water supply system?

A water supply system is the installation that distributes mains water, or water supplied by a booster set, evenly to the points of use.

The water supply installation delivers cold and hot water to the kitchen, bathroom, WC, utility room, plant rooms and appliance connections.

A poorly executed water supply installation can lead to low pressure, delayed hot water, pipe noise, leaks, corrosion, faulty connections and high energy losses.

This page covers two main applications: kitchen plumbing and bathroom & WC plumbing. Click a card to open the relevant detail page.

SUMMARY FOR CLIENTS

What should you consider when installing a water supply system?

1. Pressure must be balanced correctly.

When several taps are opened at the same time, the flow rate must not drop and the balance between hot and cold water must not be disturbed.

2. Hot water pipe insulation is important.

Uninsulated hot water pipes can cause energy losses and delays in hot water reaching the tap.

3. A pressure test must be carried out.

The installation must be pressure tested before tiling and fitting of units, eliminating the risk of leaks before handover.

Let’s plan the right water supply installation for your kitchen and bathroom together.

We will prepare a safe installation based on the points of use, appliance connections, pressure requirements, hot water distances and choice of materials.
